Each environment needs correct interpretation. Therefore, very low yields do not always mean superior quality, it is also necessary to consider the income obtained from the vineyard. For example, according to Synthesis, thinning is seen as an evaluation error initially and a waste of energy by the plant.
The philosophy in a vineyard is equilibrium!

An “efficient” vineyard means lower costs, better quality and therefore greater competitiveness. These are indispensable advantages especially for those companies that do not reach a critical mass large enough for significant numbers to appear on their balance sheet.

Fortunately, the role of people in the vineyard is still fundamental. The farsightedness, the sensitivity and the observation of someone who passes each day in the vineyard, of someone who still “walks the vineyard” is a great advantage in terms of production quality.
Nowadays, much if not quite everything can be managed and optimised mechanically, but nothing can replace the intuition, sensitivity, passion and inquiry that the experience of someone who visits his vineyard on a daily basis is able to perceive.

Synthesis in the vineyard:
· Production planning. When thinning is carried out, it is most often because earlier operations were poorly manage (winter pruning).
. Land evaluation.
· Analysis of the interaction between soil and rootstock and rootstock clone affinity.
· Planting density that is rational and compatible with company resources.
· Improving canopy management.
· Management of the ratio between leaf mass and yield (1 kg of grapes x 1.2 sq.m. of leaf) for quality reasons.
· Study and design of mechanisation in order to optimise operations and reduce production costs.
· Vineyard irrigation management.
